Sports Games Have a Problem They Are Boring

The problem with sports games is that they’re just absolutely dull. It’s the same thing every single year. If you disagree with me, let me know because I’m not entirely sure about this, but after playing sports games for a long time, I can conclude that sports games are not for me.

And yes, I have bought sports games like Madden yearly. I do like them, don’t get me wrong, but I think the future of sports games has got to change. And I don’t know what it is. They’re repetitive past a certain point, even if they change features drastically.

It still feels like a sports game and the same thing every year, and I don’t see the end. I’d instead get the yearly Call of Duty than a sports game if that says anything, and that’s actually kind of sad when you think about it. And no, I don’t have anything against Call of Duty. I was trying to find a franchise that’s released yearly and updates something.

So when it comes to sports games, yes, the features of historical seasons are great and things like that. With that being said, though, it’s not that much of an update, and I think we know which games don’t update anything at all. And which games do you try to update stuff with sports? And yes, I do understand that sports are not going to change and that everything’s going to remain the same.

Nonetheless, in the end, that’s really what it comes down to. They’ve got to start updating sports games in a way that is just different. I don’t have an answer to this. Maybe it’s not possible, but I’ve stopped playing most sports games, or at least buying them yearly like I used to, because it’s the same thing every year after you do that for ten years…it is pointless.
